From The Exalted Ruler

Well, that’s a wrap! We had another great holiday season at the Lodge.

A huge thanks to Gary and Robin Hedrick for their continued support of the Henry County CPS and their Christmas program. This year we helped 29 children. Thank you to everyone who helped with this party and provided gifts for these kids.

We will be having initiations on January 4th, so please keep this date in mind if you sponsored a new member. If you haven’t been to an initiation in a while, it’s also a great time to remember what it means to be an Elk.

I also want to thank Nick Razor on hosting a great Hoop Shoot this year. It takes a lot of effort, and I appreciate Nick and all the volunteers who made this a success.

Now some things to look forward to over the next three months:

Jan 27 – 911- One More Bar Crawl – This is to help support mental health awareness for the first responders in Henry County because there is always ONE MORE call they have to respond to. Sign up at the bar and bring your friends.

February – Officer Nominations – If you have ever wanted to become an officer in our Lodge, we will have nominations at our first Lodge meeting in February. If you have questions, please see any of our current officers.

March 16 – New Castle On Tap – We are working with Indiana On Tap to offer discounted tickets to our members. More information coming soon.

March 30 – Farewell Elks Bus Trip – I tried to say goodbye once, but this time it’s going to stick. Join us on a bus trip to Muncie, Tipton, and Noblesville Elks Lodges. The sign-up sheet will be up at the Lodge soon.

Thank you for your continued support of our Lodge.

Because of all of you, we make our community a better place.

From the Club Operations Manager

Hello! Just a short note this month to wish each of you a happy and healthy 2024 and to say a few thanks.

For everyone who helped make the DSC fundraisers successful again this year, thank you so much! I really wish that everyone could witness the impact of their generosity. The kids are always so excited for their visit with Santa and to receive their Christmas gifts. Just know that you made this a special holiday for more than 20 children.

On behalf of the entire 484 staff, we extend sincere appreciation for your club participation in 2023! We had some very successful special events and have big goals for a prosperous 2024. We hope to see continued growth in membership as well as in club participation.

A personal note to the lodge staff and bingo crew: A million thanks for your hard work! Everything you do makes the New Castle Elks a standout and I appreciate each of you more than I can express!

Happy New Year & hope to see you soon!!
