September 2024
From The Exalted Ruler:
Summer has come and will soon be gone, leading us into our big end of the year push.

Summer is always tough, this year was no exception, but now we make the end of the year push to finish strong and that’s what we are going to do. We have started some changes at the Lodge and we have more to come.

Starting this month our dinner specials will truly be specials. They will no longer be regular menu items, excluding the Big Burger and Crider onion rings. Look at our new menu and let us know what you think, if you have any suggestions feel free to let me know, as myself, Gary Purvis and Kathy will be making the specials list for the month. We want to get back to entire families coming to our dinner nights for a homestyle family meal.

We have also added a new ticket machine. It will carry four different games and some pay $599! Many have already won quite a bit and I feel it will continue to grow.

We have a meeting on September 5 and will be having initiation that night as well with about 19 new members scheduled to come in. Please plan on attending.

Our Elks Veterans fundraising golf outing is September 7 and is already full with alternates. If you would like to participate let us know, there is always something we need help with.

Our Cancer fundraising dance is scheduled for September 21 with the Soul Miner Band scheduled to play. Should be a great time!

We are always looking for new ways to bring people together and raise money for a good cause. As fall comes in, look for some “pop up” events to happen. As always we try to give everyone a heads up through our Facebook page. If you haven’t already liked and followed our page, do it today.

Everyone have a great September and hope to see you at the LODGE!

From The Club Operations Manager:
Hello! I hope this finds you enjoying the last days of summer 2024.
With fall quickly approaching, we are gearing up for peak fundraising season and it begins on Saturday, September 21, with the Cancer Dance. If you have not already made your reservation, please do so soon as we are anticipating a sold out crowd for this event. Dinner will be served from 6-8:30pm and the Soul Miners Band will provide entertainment for the night!

Wishing you a safe and happy Labor Day! Hope to see you soon!
