July 2025 Newsletter
July 2025 From The Exalted Ruler: Hello everyone, Our golf outing benefiting cancer research was held last month and raised approximately $5,400. Many thanks to Abby Okeley for volunteering her time to secure hole sponsors for the tournament. I’d also like to extend my gratitude to Pat Saunders and Brent Crabtree for their efforts in organizing this successful event. Additionally, a big thank you to Chris Lacey and the Memorial Park Golf Course staff for their hard work. Behind the grill, we had Deb Miller, Lisa Hacker, and Amie Groce serving up delicious burgers and hotdogs. I want to express my sincere thanks to all our sponsors and everyone who supported this event. Special thanks to all the players who braved the heat; it was tough out there, but the water and cool beverages certainly helped. And thank you to Charlie Beaudry, Kelly Plank, Kathy Crabtree, and Kelly Benematti for managing the beer carts. In other news, the Queen of Hearts was finally won last month, and our 52 Raffle has concluded. We’ll be launching a new game in the coming months and will announce details soon. Our Lodge’s 125th anniversary will be celebrated on Saturday, July 12th. BPOE Lodge #484 officially received its charter on July 12, 1900. Please join us in commemorating this special occasion. Dinner will feature your choice of pork loin or salmon, and music by Frosty Mojo will start at 9 pm. Shirts commemorating this event will also be available for purchase, with two unique designs on display at the Lodge. As we enter July, our activities will slow down a bit. Please note that Lodge meetings will only be held on the third Thursday of this month and next month. Additionally, we will be closed on Friday, July 4th, in observance of Independence Day. Have a safe holiday, everyone. Lastly, please join me in welcoming our new Club Manager, Jeff Sills. Jeff joined us last month and has been introducing himself to members during dinner nights.
